2022 NWSF Representative Teams - Expression of interest
See here for information on trials for our representative teams.
2021 Season cancelled
NWSF has taken the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 season given the restrictions on community sport make it impossible to return.
We have decided to declare Premiers for all competitions (U12s and older) based on a Points per Match calculation and a list of Premiers is available here. Premiers medals will be distributed via the clubs soon.
We appreciate this has been another difficult season for all and understand the frustration everyone will be feeling.
The NWSF Board has determined that it will pass on any savings from the reduced season by way of fee discounts in 2022, and these will be finalised when the final financial position is known.
We look forward to getting back on the field for Summer Football and would encourage you to join one of the competitions in your local area.
Details of summer competitions run by NWSF and its clubs can be found here.
Translated Covid resources
The NSW Government is seeking assistance in sharing information about the current Greater Sydney restriction with Aboriginal and CALD communities.
It is important to highlight the key message about not having visitors to your home while the stay-at-home order is in place.
Resources (available here) have been translated into 58 languages to support communities in sharing this key message.
NWSF RESPECT PROGRAM
With recent incidents of poor behaviour by players, coaches and spectators, all NWSF participants are reminded of the RESPECT program which is an ongoing journey to change to culture in Football to a consistently positive and rewarding one.
Poor behaviour and abuse towards referees is the primary reason referees leave the sport and results in less than 100% coverage of matches. Your behaviour does make a difference.
