PUTNEY RANGERS FC
The Club started in 1978 by a company in North Ryde called Ethnor, some 26 years ago, through a group of men wanting to play soccer socially. A year later, they considered playing in a competition. They played in the Churches competition with many of the players being work colleagues. After the 1980 season, with only a few players working for Ethnor, and the company sponsorship coming to an end, it was decided to change the name of the club and move across to the Gladesville-Hornsby Association. It was then, that Putney Rangers began. Putney Rangers boasts close to 40 teams and is one of the leading soccer clubs on and off the field within NWSF.
