North West Sydney Football (NWSF) are excited to announce NWSF has appointed Tim Palmer to the role of Coach and Player Development Manager.
Tim will support the NWSF Head of Football, Tim Thorne, to build "next practice" coach and player development systems and education to support our local clubs.
This part-time role will complement his current professional role as lecturer of performance and coaching subjects at the Australian College of Physical Education and provide an extension to his current role as a coach with the Parraroos and his ongoing six year involvement with NWS Spirit Football Club.
“The majority of Tim’s role will be to take the NWSF and NWS Spirit FC’s DNA to the next level by delivering it to the local regions 34 member clubs via online and face to face programs.” Stated Tim Thorne NSWF, Head of Football.
“Tim will also support our local clubs in writing style of play, programs and session plans to support their group and individual needs.” Mr Thorne added
“An added bonus will be Tim’s ability to deliver advanced licenses for our local coaches as we look to continue to raise the coaching standards in the North West.”
Tim Palmer was very much looking forward to his new role with North West Sydney Football.
"I am looking forward to the opportunity to support our local clubs in their development of players across all elements of our NWSF pathway. We have a strong sense of community which enables us to connect our programs all the way from Miniroos to Spirit FC. This new role will allow us to provide clubs with resources and support that can enhance the great work being done across the association to provide development and performance outcomes for all our registered players." Stated Mr Palmer.
"A great strength of NWSF is its coach education. We have seen great success in our numerous community and advanced courses being delivered across the region, and I look forward to extending this further with an integrated connection to an NWSF DNA, which can provide a common language for our member clubs to ensure they are providing positive experiences for all people involved in the game"
"The NWSF DNA can be a framework for clubs to enrich their existing programs and assist in delivering the holistic outcomes that only football can provide for our wide and diverse community. I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this community as a player and coach over many years and in this new role, look forward to linking with clubs, through face to face delivery, as well as a new online platform later in 2022, to roll out our NWSF DNA."
