NWSF PINK All Abilities Team celebrated last Sunday 8th May at Morrison Bay with a Mothers Day Cup.

Girls and their families came together to play football and enjoy some Mothers Day festivities.

The PINK (Play, Interact, Network, Kick) program provides an opportunity for female players of all ages and abilities to participate in a structured 10-week football program. This includes a Football NSW Gala Day and NWSF Women's Grand Final Day. Players will learn skills, improve fitness, meet new friends and have fun. Shirts, shorts and socks are provided.
NWSF PINK All Abilities Team is coached by various local community members, in particular Liesl & Kim who supported the Mothers Day Cup. Although Kim was off on ParaMatildas National Team duties, Liesl and the crew ran a wonderful event to celebrate the occasion.

Smiles all around from the PINK girls and their families both on mothers day and at their usual training/games. For further information about the NWSF PINK program or the NWSF Schools All Abilities Football Ready program, please contact Kim Schaefer or Denise Robinson via denise@nwsf.com.au

Some players started with the program 8 years ago and have just turned 16 - both growing in age and skill, they've enjoying growing beside teammates and friends.

NWSF would like to thank all the PINK coaches for doing an exceptional job at creating a supportive environment for participants, and also their families. The PINK program is dedicated to the inclusion of all individuals and we are very proud of the girls and the program.

P I N K History:
The NWSF PINK Koalas all abilities team received a grant from The Epping Club, who provided funding through their club grants scheme for the 2018 season. The funds from the grant enabled PINK players and the volunteer coaches to receive a new Umbro kit.

As part of the PINK program, the team plays modified games each Sunday against U10 and U11s NWSF teams on Morrison 1.  An important aspect of the game is for  the PINK and NWSF teams to warm up together prior to the game. This enables the players to get to know each other and promotes social interaction and a good spirited game for all players.
