NWSF PLAYER PATHWAYS
The NWSF player pathway is explained below.
NWSF runs Academies for Under 7 to Under 16 age groups where players receive specialist training by qualified NWSF coaches in addition to their Club training and matches.
When players reach the Under 9 age group they can seek selection either in the Skills Acquisition Program (SAP), or continue with the NWSF Academies which allow them to continue to train and play matches with their local Club. Players selected into SAP train and play matches within the Football NSW program.
Girls can join SAP or the Girls Skills Acquisition Program (GSAP) at U10s
Boys reaching the Under 13 age group can seek selection either in the NWS Spirit FC Youth teams which train and play matches within the Football NSW program, or in the NWSF Association Youth League (AYL) teams where they train under NWSF Coaches and play matches in the FNSW AYL competition.
Girls reaching the U14 age group can seek selection to the NWS Koalas teams which compete in the FNSW National Premier League competition.
