THE NWSF ACADEMY
NSWF runs Academy training squads for boys and girls for Under 8 to Under 16.
The NWSF Academy is recognised as the benchmark in elite association development. This is where we develop the most talented players within the association, with our high level technical programs, to give them the best chance at selection in our SAP (Skill Acquisition Program), GSAP and Youth Teams. This is where the best get to train with the best and gives players a higher level of coaching so that they may develop as football players. Players stay playing with their club teams but are given additional development in the Academy.
In 2021, there will be both a boy's and girl's Academy. The boy's Academy is run by NWS Spirit FC and the girl's Academy is run by NWS Koalas FC.
Trials will be held in April and training commences in May one night per week. Details will be posted here when finalised.
Players must be registered with a NWSF Club team to be eligible.
Wet weather
In the event of wet weather, participants should assume the sessions are still on as training is held on synthetic fields. In the event of severe weather, we will post a message here and on our Facebook page to advise when cancelled. Please do not call the NWSF office to check.
